Transfer news LIVE: Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Premier League latest plus all the done deals


Kylian Mbappe is the name on everybody's lips as Manchester City bid to beat Real Madrid to the Monaco sensation.
Monaco have denied an agreement is in place with the Spanish giants and say they have offered Mbappe a new deal.
The Ligue 1 club's vice president, meanwhile, has also stated that neither Thomas Lemar nor Fabinho will be sold this summer.
Arsenal are keen on winger Lemar while Manchester United have shown interest in Fabinho.
Renato Sanches, meanwhile, is keen to leave Bayern Munich, while Barcelona have stepped up their chase in Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho asks to leave?

 

Some interesting reports coming out of Spain this evening.
And they do not make pleasant reading for Liverpool fans.
According to RAC1, Philippe Coutinho has asked to leave the club to join Barcelona.
Barca have stepped up their charm offensive in the last week after having a bid turned down for the Brazilian.
And Coutinho has now reportedly told Klopp he cannot say no to a move to the Nou Camp.
Will this one go through?

McHugh pens new deal

Carl McHugh has signed a new two-year deal with Motherwell ensuring the captain’s future is at Fir Park.
Manager Stephen Robinson wants to build his side around the 24-year-old.
“With the way the season started for me last season, missing the first six months, it’s been great since then and I’m delighted now – getting the captaincy was obviously a huge honour for me,” said McHugh.

Darikwa joins Forest

Tendayi Darikwa has joined hometown club Nottingham Forest from Burnley for an initial £2million fee after two seasons at Turf Moor.
Darikwa, who failed to start a single Premier League last season, has signed a four-year contract with Forest.
He played a role in Burnley’s promotion campaign in 2015-16, but could not dislodge Matt Lowton from the right-back position last season.

Toon close in on Merino

Newcastle are closing in on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mikel Merino.
Rafa Benitez will hope to give the Spanish starlet his fifth summer signing.
A season-long loan for the 21-year-old will allow him to gain valuable experience in the Premier League after limited action for the Bundesliga giants after joining from Osasuna in 2016.

Sunderland set for double swoop

Simon Grayson is set for a double boost to his Sunderland strike force.
The Sunderland boss will sign Lewis Grabban this week, and could return to his former club Preston for Jordan Hugill.
Grabban, 29, is having a medical and will sign a one year loan deal from Bournemouth.
Hugill impressed at Preston last season and is also wanted by Birmingham.
Preston boss Alex Neil yesterday insisted Hugill, who scored 13 last season, remains part of his plans but the player is set to move for around £4m, handing him funds.
Sunderland have also struck a deal to bring keeper Jason Steele back to the North East.The former Boro and Blackburn man will become the club’s No1 after Jordan Pickford and Vito Mannone were sold.

Birmingham interested in Flint

Birmingham are interested in Bristol City defender Aden Flint.
The 28-year-old is on Harry Redknapp’s list of targets, Press Association Sport understands.
Birmingham are yet to make a bid but Redknapp does want to add another defender, having lost out on John Terry to rivals Aston Villa.
Flint signed a new deal at Ashton Gate until 2020 in December and the Robins want to keep him.
Flint has made 200 appearances for Bristol City, scoring 29 goals, since joining from Swindon in 2013.
He netted five times in 53 games as Lee Johnson’s side finished 17th in the Sky Bet Championship last term.
Birmingham have already signed centre-back Marc Roberts from Barnsley and goalkeeper David Stockdale on a free transfer after he left Brighton.
Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing is also a target with Robbie Keane, who worked with Redknapp at Tottenham, also an option.
Birmingham have already had a bid for Preston striker Jordan Hugill, who scored 13 goals last season, rejected.

Lemar and Fabinho will not be sold, insists Monaco vice-president

Neither Thomas Lemar nor Fabinho will be allowed to leave Monaco this summer.
That is according to the Ligue 1 club’s vice president Vadim Vasilyev, who has insisted no more key players will be sold.
Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy and Valere Germain have all departed the club in recent months but Vasilyev has claimed both Arsenal target Lemar and Fabinho — wanted by Manchester United — will remain.
“Fabinho and [Thomas] Lemar are essential players, they will stay with us,” he said on Wednesday. “We have kept all of the key players we intended to keep.”
