Dammy Krane: I Don’t Do Fraud… I’m Sorry I Got Caught Up In This Mess
Singer Dammy Krane has denied partaking in fraudulent activities despite his arrest for booking a private jet with stolen credit card details.
The
singer was last week arrested by the Miami-Dade County police for
alleged grand theft, credit card fraud, armed conspiracy, forgery, and
intent to defraud.
Speaking with NotJustOK TV in
the US, the singer said he does not do fraud and also apologised to his
fans and family for getting involved in the incident.
“I want to use this medium to apologise to my family, my team and my fans,” he said.
“I
was arrested by the Miami PD for fraud. I do not do fraud and I do not
partake in such activities. It just happened to be that the agent booked
my flight with fraudulent cards.
“My
life is all about my music and that’s what I am all about. I’m sorry I
got caught up in this mess. I assure all my fans that it will never
happen again.
“I wanna thank everyone who stood by my throughout this period. May God continue to bless you and protect you all.
“And
to my parents, I wanna thank you for your undying love. Please keep
supporting me. I have more music on the way. I promise I will make you
proud.”
An affidavit signed by the arresting officers stated that the singer was found in possession of multiple fraudulent credit cards when he was arrested.
Dammy
Krane, who was arrested alongside Ilochukwu Gabriel, was on Wednesday
released on bail after spending almost six days in jail.
The singer will be arraigned on Friday, June 23.
